First impressions

When Osprey asked me to test one of their duffel bag, it wasn't easy for me to choose which one because their range is so vast. I have already tested their Rolling Transporter 120 in the past, an extremely practical bag for transporting a huge amount of equipment.

So I started looking in their catalog for a duffel bag that would be more suitable for everyday use, for short trips, for sport or all activities that don't require a colossal volume of transport. I also wanted to try a duffel bag with no wheels to gain maximum weight.

So I went for the Transporter 65 model. The Transporter 65 has a volume of 60 liters which should be sufficient for my daily use.

During the unboxing, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the Transporter 65 arrives packed in a mesh pouch the size of an A4 sheet. This pouch will be perfect for organizing the inside of the bag with clothes and accessories ;)

The build quality, as always with Osprey, lives up to expectations, true top of the range. The 400 D TPU laminated nylon is super pleasant to the touch and will withstand all possible weather conditions.

The Camo Black color offers a look that is both urban and very trendy.

The large zipper in the main pocket has a protective flap to further increase its waterproofness.

The interior is composed of a huge compartment equipped with two compression straps. One mesh compartments si housed at the top of the bag.

An exterior pocket provides quick access to the small items you need most, such as your travel documents or even your headphones.

Four handles maximize carrying and facilitate loading in a luggage compartment or even to strap it on a roof rack !

The Transporter 65 has two retractable shoulder straps which can be stored in a dedicated pocket. But that's not all, the Transporter 65 is also equipped with a large removable padded strap to carry it like a classic sports bag.

 Daily Use

The Transporter 65 despite its solid construction remains a lightweight bag. In addition, as it has no rigid structure, it only takes the place of what's inside, no unnecessary bulk.

Its huge U-shaped opening makes it very easy to fill up and optimize storage as much as possible. And when you are looking for something inside, you get your hands on it right away.

The carrying straps are very comfortable and can withstand heavy loads.

Their storage in the pocket is very easy and done in the blink of an eye. This way, they do not hinder the opening of the bag when they are not needed.

But as the bag is also equipped with a shoulder strap, it can very easily be carried over the shoulder, very practical if your shoulders are already occupied by another bag.

The volume of 60 liters is sufficient for short trips, but not only. It will also be perfect for carrying sports clothes and all your workout accessories.

The TPU laminated nylon will withstand very intensive use. The zippers are solid and can be handled without forcing which is always very pleasant, especially when you have to close the bag in a hurry !

The top of the bag has a small window to insert your business card. So you know instantly if it's your bag or your friend's.
