X-Bionic Twyce a true revolution?

I know X-Bionic for several years. Their products are high quality range. But is this new Twyce, announced as a revolutionary technology, really innovative?

At such a price, the buyer is entitled to expect something really unusual ....

I received the Twyce in early spring. Initially I wanted to do the test right away.

But reading all the promises from X-Bionic about their Twyce, I told myself that I would take the time to test the Twyce throughly and really see if it was as incredible as announced ...

Unboxing

X-bionic put special attention to the packaging of its Twyce outfits.

Each piece is individually packaged in a box. There is even a seal of authenticity to ensure your outfit is not a counterfeit product. When opening, the box unfolds into triptych to demonstrate with thermal images the benefits of the Twyce outfits.

First try out

The Twyce is designed to fit tightly you body. I chose my usual size and at the first try out I feared that it was too small. But the material of the Twyce is extensible to fit the body and provide a compression effect. At the same time, to optimize your aerodynamics in cycling, it's better to have tight clothes.

The shirt has three back pockets to accommodate your personal items with an elastic edge.

The shape of the shirt is perfect and comes down enough on the lower back. This way it doesn't come up when pedaling, even when riding in aero position on a time trial bike.

After 5 months of intensive use, the pockets still have the same elasticity!

The bike bib has an extremely comfortable padding nothing to do with too thick padding that bother you at the crotch.

The support around the quadriceps is very enveloping to maximize the hold of muscles and reduce fatigue.

The style of the outfit is outstanding, modern, sophisticated and stylish.

You will not go unnoticed with... It radically changes from the cheap copies of pro jersey...

Everyday Use

The fit is very comfortable and is immediately forgotten despite its slim shape.

The placement on the saddle is excellent. The shorts will not slip. Even after a 3 hours ride, the comfort is still excellent.

But what about breathability?

I have tested the Twyce in the most diverse environments, on sunday ride, during intense training, under the sun, under heayvy rain, in time trial, against the wind and in finaly the mountains.

I was really amazed by the quality of the Twyce. Breathability is exceptional. Even during the ascent of Alpe d'Huez, the moisture transfer was optimal. No need to open the shirt completely as it is often the case with regular jerseys.

But the cherry on the cake was the descent from the Alpe d'Huez. The Twyce system reverses to maintain your body temperature. During the downhill, the alveoli close by themselves to keep you warm, even on the section of La Garde at more than 40 miles/h ! Simply stunning efficiency ....

One of the reasons for which I waited five months to complete this test was to know the wear resistance.

Just to make things clear, when you invest that amount of money in a top of the range outfit you expect it to last for a very long time.

During the last 5 months, except during my triathlons, I wore the Twyce on every bike ride.

It was covered with energy gels, soft drinks, sunscreen ..... I washed it and rewashed it and it's still looks like brand new ! By choosing a white top, I was a bit wooried, but it 's still perfect.
